On the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) you can extend the home screen with so-called widgets and display information and functions directly from apps.
Below we show you how to add such a widget.

1. Press and hold on a free space on the start screen.
2. The start screen will shrink and reveal various options and settings.
3. Now select "Widgets" in the lower menu band.
4. You will see all the widgets you have available for placement on the start screen.
Scroll through the list and select a widget by holding down your finger on it and moving it to the position on the home screen where you want it to appear.
Release the widget to place it firmly on the Home screen.
