Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Display Change Timeout - Extend or Shorten

The screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is still active or illuminated for a certain time after the last use and is then automatically switched off.

The function behind it is the so-called display timeout. This is the time that must elapse after the last input or touch until the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 display is switched off.

If the time is too long or too short, you can lengthen or shorten it. You can find out where to find the corresponding setting in the following instructions:

Extending or shortening the screen timeout on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9

1. Open the App menu from the Home screen and continue with the Android settings

2. Navigate further to "Display"

3. In this submenu you will now find "Screen timeout" Here you now have the option to select between 15 seconds and 10 minutes.

  • The default value is 2 minutes.

The longer you select the time, the more battery power is needed for the illumination of the screen.

For this reason, we recommend that you do not enter a value greater than 5 minutes. If you have set the mark at a new value, it will be applied directly to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Now you know how to keep the screen illumination active longer and what effects this can have on the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
