If you are receiving unwanted SMS messages on the Samsung Galaxy S8, you may be wondering if you can block them.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has integrated options within the news app to help you automatically block such messages. The Samsung messaging app offers to block numbers, contacts and SMS with certain sentences.

Block Messages - Instructions
To do this, start from the Home screen and then follow these steps:
1. Open the message app on the Samsung Galaxy S8
2. Select the "Three dots symbol" in the upper right corner
3. In the context menu you now find "Settings" - select the menu item
4. You will now see the decisive entry "Block messages". Navigate to it and you will see two options:
- Block numbers
- Block blocks
Via "Lock number" you can block contacts or phone numbers for SMS messages.
Via "Block sentences" you can use certain words that occur in the SMS as a reason for the automatic blocking.
After you have made the settings, you will hopefully no longer be disturbed by unwanted SMS messages.
