Xperia Ear Duo headset does not respond - solved

If you have an Xperia Ear Duo headset and it no longer responds correctly to control inputs or no longer plays music, you should restart it.

This can be done by means of a soft reset. Below we describe how to perform a soft reset on the Xperia Ear Duo:

Remove the right earphone from the charging cradle. The LED indicator should now flash white twice when the earphone is activated.

Press and hold the right earpiece touchpad with two thumbs and hold for a little more than 10 seconds.

The thumbs should be placed on both sides of the SONY logo, as this is the only way to detect the soft reset through the headphones.

The LED indicator on the earphone should now flash white twice again. The earphone will then restart and emit a sound.

This procedure must be performed for both earphones. Repeat the above steps for the left earphone of the Xperia Ear Duo Set.
