Activate inductive fast charging - Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra

If you take a look at the menu for "Charging the Battery" on your Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra, you may find that there is no entry for Fast Inductive Charging.

Accordingly, the smartphone may only charge slowly even when using a Quick Charge Induction Charger.

Inductive Quick Charge option not visible - Why?

On the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra you will only see this option once you have placed the smartphone on a charging cradle that supports fast inductive charging.

So to use the Fast Inductive Charging of the Charging Cradle, the smartphone will place it once on the Charging Cradle.

Activate inductive fast charging in the Android settings

1. Open the Android settings on your Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra.

2. Navigate to "Device Maintenance" and there to "Battery".

3. Go on to the menu item "Charging".

4. Now check the box "Fast inductive charging".

From now on you can make use of the inductive quick charge of your smartphone. The entry in the settings is now permanently available.

Rapid charging can lead to heat development on the device.

If your inductive charging station has an integrated fan, this will most likely be activated now that you have set the option to "Active". If the fan noise disturbs you, then it makes sense to set the option back to "inactive".

You now know how to use inductive quick charging on a Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra and what effects this has.
