If you have a Huawei P40 Pro or P30 Pro, you may notice that the display is automatically activated every time you lift the phone from a surface. This is due to the "Raise to Wake" function.
If you don't want to use this feature, we will show you below which submenu within the Android system you have to navigate to on your Huawei P40 Pro or P30 Pro. Proceed as follows:
Disable "Erect to activate" - Instructions
1. open the Android settings on your Huawei P40 Pro or P30 Pro
2. navigate to "Operating aids" and then further to "Shortcuts and gestures".
3. open "Activate screen".
4. now deactivate the option "Erect to activate" using the slider.
If you subsequently lift the Huawei P40 Pro or P30 Pro, the display will no longer be activated automatically, which saves battery power.
