Huawei - The connected USB device is not supported

You can connect wired headphones to the USB-C port of a Huawei smartphone using USB Type-C to 3.5 mm jack adapters.

Unfortunately, this method can cause problems and errors again and again.

One of these error messages is: "The connected USB device is not supported".

This error message is due to the following cause:

Special USB adapter required for wired 3.5mm headphones

Unfortunately, Huawei smartphones only work properly with the in-house accessories. So if you use a USB type-C to 3.5 mm jack adapter from a third party supplier, the error message "The connected USB device is not supported" will appear on the display.

The solution is to use the original USB-C Headset Jack adapter from Huawei.

If you connect it to the USB C port of your smartphone, you won't see any error on the screen and you can listen to music through your wired headphones without any problems.

So that you don't have to search for a long time, we have selected the original adapter from USB C to 3.5mm jack:

  • Huawei Type C jack adapter

Unfortunately there are no uniform standards yet, so third-party accessories often do not work 100%.

Therefore, we recommend to use original accessories like in the link above for Smartphone accessories if possible.

We hope that this will resolve the error quickly and conveniently.
