If you use the Instax SHARE SP-3 printer to quickly print pictures from your smartphone on the road, you may experience connection problems. The result is that you will not be able to print photos.
To remedy this, you should use the following steps for your smartphone to successfully establish a connection.
For Android Smartphone and iPhone we have written different approaches. Please use the appropriate guide for you:
Successfully connecting Instax SHARE SP-3 with Android smartphone
GPS connection must be activated
First you should check if your GPS location is activated. Especially with current Android systems, an active GPS location is ALWAYS required for a connection.
Pull down the status bar and check if the GPS icon is activated.
Then try to connect to the printer.
Customize app permissions for the "instax share" app
It is possible that not all rights have been set up for the app the first time it is used after installation. Therefore check the permissions of the application as follows:
1. open the Android settings
2. navigate to "Apps
3. search for "instax Share
4. select "Permissions" in the app info.
Activate the following permissions:
- Camera
- Memory
- Location
This should now allow your Android smartphone to connect to the Instax SHARE SP-3 printer without any problems.
Successfully connecting Instax SHARE SP-3 printers to iPhone
If you are unable to connect between your iPhone and the Instax SHARE SP-3 printer, use the points designed for iOS:
Adjust permissions for the instax SHARE App
1. open the settings.
2. go to "instax Share" and then set the following permission settings to "Allow
- "Take Picture": Authorization for "Camera
- "Real-time Template": Authorization for "Camera" and "Location
- "Select from photos": Permission for "Photos
Now you should be able to connect your iPhone to the Instax SHARE SP-3 printer.
