OnePlus Nord no longer responds - touch screen and buttons

If the touch screen of your OnePlus Nord no longer responds to input, is frozen, or the display shows black, this could be due to a faulty app.

Fortunately, there are some troubleshooting steps that can help you to solve your problem without having to send your phone in for service, which is something you are encouraged to suggest when you contact a service hotline of the manufacturer or mobile operator.

You can try to solve your problem by a simple restart, a so-called soft reset of your phone.

In this manual we would like to explain how to perform such a soft reset on the OnePlus North:

Restart OnePlus North with Soft Reset if it no longer reacts

To perform the soft reset, press and hold the following key for about 10 seconds:

  • Power On/ Off Button

This will now switch off the Samsung Galaxy S20 from now on, similar to removing the battery, and then restart it again.

If the problem keeps recurring, please perform a firmware update on the OnePlus North or update your apps. This should fix the error. Even a wipe cache partition can quickly and easily fix errors on the OnePlus Nord.

You now know what to do if the OnePlus Nord no longer responds to touch input via the display or buttons.
