Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 no connection to the Image App on the smartphone - solved

If you create a W-Lan hotspot with the Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 and then transfer photos from the camera with a smartphone and the Image App, it can happen that no connection is established.

It is only indicated that an attempt is being made to establish a connection. This supposed error usually crystallizes very quickly as a software bug/feature.

In the following we want to show you why and also how to connect the Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 with the Image App on a smartphone and then transfer photos from the bridge camera.

The reason why no connection between the camera and the Image App can be established

To establish a successful connection, the GPS connection must be activated on the Smartphone on which the Image App is installed. If this is not the case, no connection can be established.

Therefore please activate the GPS or the location information on your Smartphone. Then it should be no problem to establish a connection between smartphones and Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 and transfer images. If this is not possible, please follow these instructions:

  • Transfer images to Smartphone with Image App

You now know the reason why your Smartphone or Image App could not establish a connection between Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 and mobile phone.
