The Samsung Galaxy S20 offers a high-resolution display, which automatically deactivates after a while when the phone is no longer in use, i.e. when the keys or elements on the display are touched.
The automatic shutdown after a certain amount of time is called screen timeout, which ensures that the battery life of the smartphone is maximized.
The display timeout is set at the factory to 2 minutes, but you can extend or shorten it as you wish.
Screen Timeout Configuration - Time Frame 15 seconds to 10 minutes
1. Open the Android settings on your Samsung Galaxy S20
2. Navigate to "Display" in these settings.
3. From there go to "Screen Timeout".
4. Please choose a setting between minimum 15 seconds and maximum 10 minutes illumination time after the last entry.
This setting will be applied directly to the smartphone and then used when you have made the last entry on the Samsung Galaxy S20.
With this setting, you have now configured how long the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S20 should be illuminated after you have made the last entry via the touch display or the keys.
