Setting up Huawei P40 & P30 WLan HotSpot - Tip

 You can set up a W-Lan Hot Spot on your Huawei P40 & P30 Via this hotspot, other W-Lan devices such as laptops, smartphones or computers can access the mobile data connection of the Huawei P40 & P30 and surf the Internet.

How to set up this useful function on the Huawei P40 & P30 is what we want to explain to you here:

 

Set up Wifi Hotspot - Tethering

1. opens the menu from the home screen of the Huawei P40 & P30

2. go to the system settings.

3. navigate further to "Mobile Network" and then "Personal Hotspot".

Select a device name and then a password for the hotspot.

5. you can then activate the hotspot.

Other devices can now access and surf the mobile data network of your Huawei P40 & P30.

Set access point frequency band - 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz

You can select a frequency band for your wireless hotspot. Either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. To do so, navigate to "More" in the menu above and then "AP-Band".

Now select 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Set data limit for the W-Lan Hotspot

To prevent your AP from using too much mobile data for a particular session, you can set a data limit. This works as follows:

Navigate to More again and select "Data Limit". Then set a limit in MB. When this limit is reached by the connected devices, your Huawei P40 & P30 will automatically disable the hotspot.
