Sometimes it is necessary to start a smartphone like the Google Pixel 3 or Pixel 4 in safe mode. Only apps that are included in the firmware will be loaded in safe mode.
So if a third-party app causes problems, you can use Safe Mode to uninstall it. Please proceed as follows:
Activate Safe Mode for the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 4
1. hold down the power key until the "Restart in Safe Mode" prompt appears, then release the key.
2. Tap OK to confirm.
3. the restart process may take a little longer than usual in this mode.
After the restart, "Safe Mode" appears in the lower left corner of the start screen or lock screen.
However, if your Pixel 3 or Pixel 4 still reboots even in Safe Mode, the next step is to reset your phone to factory defaults.
